I noticed that DTU is involved in research on waste reuse for construction, and wondered whether there may be some scope for collaboration.
We are a design-oriented firm of structural engineers with offices in London and Tokyo, and now Copenhagen. We started a small office in BLOXHUB this summer with the aim of finding collaborators in Denmark. Some of our projects are introduced on www.structuredenvironment.com
We are currently working with a Japanese architect, Kengo Kuma on a project in Indonesia in which blocks made from recycled plastics are to be used as the primary structural material. The project is in its early stages, but testing of both the material itself and the jointing system is sure to be needed as work progresses. I wondered if use of such plastic blocks may be of interest, and whether there would be a way to integrate the project into one of the graduate research programmes.
