Temperature drift compensation plays an important role
in achieving reliable performance of high-precision pressure transmitters. One
important step in the factory calibration of a pressure transmitter is to
accurately control the temperature in order to map the unique characteristics
of each transmitter. The project is to develop a device that can automatically
control the transmitter’s ambient temperature during the calibration process.
The device should have the ability to heat and cool the transmitter by use of
PID regulation, or similar. Furthermore, the device needs a digital interface
and protocol in order to interact with an automated calibration system based on
The project involves all the development phases from
theory and design to test and verification of the heating and cooling device.
The project involves circuit design, PCB layout, firmware programming and
design of electromechanical components.
The project will be done in close collaboration with our R&D team and
under guidance of Professor Michael Andersen.
You will have access to a working station in the company and we encourage
you to work closely together with the R&D team. Partial or full
compensation of commuting expenses to and from the company is also a
