Hydrogen peroxide is a simple, yet widely used, chemical for water cleaning and disinfection processes. The production of hydrogen peroxide in compact electrochemical devices presents major advantages when compared to the traditional chemical synthesis. However, for this process to be feasible at large scale, efficient catalysts based on inexpensive materials are needed. In this project carbon based materials will be prepared, characterized and tested in industrially relevant conditions. Commercial potential of the findings will take place in collaboration with HPNow, a DTU spin-out company.
