Contaminated sites, risk assessment and uncertainty

There are many contaminated sites and not enough money to investigate and remediate them all. The research question is how can we ensure that the most problematic sites receives the most attention?

We aim at answering this question through a modeling framework that includes uncertainty. The project has a strong applied component as we work with data from actual site investigations and it has received a lot of attention from consultant companies. The project is perfect for the student who wishes strengthen his/her skills and understanding of the risk assessment of contaminated sites. The project requires interest and good skills in modeling.
