Performance modeling of heat pumps based on metamodeling

Recent development of the method termed Metamodeling seems to be a methodological approach to seasonal performance modeling of heat pumps with significant potential for efficient and robust system analysis and optimization.

Based on the recent research and model development, an enhanced model for the complete annual performance and power consumption related to heat pump operation should be developed. The model should include all heat demands, including space heating and hot water, as well as off-design performance of the heat pump based on the installed technology and control system.
