Optiske fibre anvendes som bærer af information på internettet og efterspørgslen efter TV og film streaming, musik, tingenes internet m.m. presser kapaciteten. Optiske fibre er ulineære og dette giver en række udfordringer med hensyn til at øge kapaciteten. I dette projekt skal vi sammen med DTU Fotonik benytte modellering med den ikke lineære Schroedinger ligning som et værktøj til opnå indsigt i ikke-lineær fiber kommunikation og forsøge at løse problemer vedrørende kapacitetsforøgelse.
