Cloning, production and purification of recombinant metalloproteins

Greater Copenhagen area

Technologies for production and purification of recombinant proteins are of great importance not only for research but also for the biotech industries. Expression of non-metal-containing proteins is fully developed, whereas the expression of metalloproteins still leaves much to learn. We have established molecular biology techniques, and developed state-of-the-art fermentation and chromatographic technologies for the production of numerous metalloproteins. In these projects we aim to expand the repertoire of metalloproteins that can be produced in bacteria.

For further information on the project, please contact Hans Erik Mølager Christensen,, building 207, room 156.

Technical University of Denmark

For almost two centuries DTU, Technical University of Denmark, has been dedicated to fulfilling the vision of H.C. Ørsted – the father of electromagnetism – who founded the university in 1829 to develop and create value using the natural sciences and the technical sciences to benefit society.

Today, DTU is ranked as one of the foremost technical universities in Europe, continues to set new records in the number of publications, and persistently increases and develops our partnerships with industry, and assignments accomplished by DTU’s public sector consultancy.
