Modeling and/or measurement of phase equilibrium in aqueous salt solutions. The modeling is performed with an activity coefficient model developed at DTU.

Aqueous salt solutions are relevant in many processes. Strong bases are considered possible solvents for removing CO2 from the flue gas from power plants. Many of these bases or mixtures of bases have already been modeled. There are always new bases coming, that need to be modeled. Recycling of phosphate is important in order to ensure sufficient food production in the future. Many systems with phosphorous are waiting to be modeled. The oil industry produces large amounts of brines besides oil and gas. Sometimes salts tend to precipitate and cause problems during production. Several modeling Projects can be found here also.
