Drones or unmanned airborne systems offer new and exciting opportunities for environmental monitoring. We focus on the use of these platforms for hydrometry, i.e. for monitoring of water surface elevation, discharge, bathymetry etc. in rivers and streams. We use a range of sensor, including radars, ground-penetrating radars, sonars, video cameras, thermal and spectral cameras.
Projects can focus on field data collection, data processing and/or combination with hydrologic-hydrodynamic models. We have case study areas in several areas of Denmark, including Vejle Å, Grindsted Å and Usserød Å.
