The aim of the project is to study groundwater vulnerability to pesticides leaching in fractured clay till present in Danish Zealand.

The work has both modeling and experimental aspects:

- Modeling of solute transport will be done at different scales and will include simulation of laboratory experiments, field excavation and tracer tests and regional scale mapping of groundwater vulnerability.

- Experimental investigation of pesticide transport in LUC (Large Undisturbed Columns) setups collected at different excavation sites.

The master thesis is part of the CLAYFRAC project (funded by Danish EPA and coordinated by GEUS, Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland).
