During operation of a wind turbine, it is important to minimize fatigue loads of critical components while maximizing energy production - this is trade-off relationship, which can be formulated as a non-linear optimal control problem.

In this thesis, we aim at solving non-linear control problems and applying the numerical methods in the context of wind turbine optimization.

The project will be conducted in collaborations with the control engineering team at Vestas.
