Particle Image Velocimetry is gaining increasing interest as an important tool for new insights in fluid mechanics. In this project you will help develop and test the method. New developments in camera technology opens for many new applications, e.g. for sports aerodynamics.

 We are at the moment developing an OpenSource toolbox for processing of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV). In the project, you will carry out measurement in a selected flow and go through the total data processing chain. Depending on your interest, the project can focus on measurements and flow physics or on development of data processing tools. The project can involve collaboration with the company Dantec Dynamics A/S.
