ESEM – Reaction cell for in situ studies of catalyst

The properties and efficiency of catalysts are strongly dependent on the micro and nanoscale of morphology, composition and crystallography of the catalytic material. The parameters are dependent on the actual environment the catalysts are working in. One way to study and characterize the catalytic materials on the nanoscale is in situ electron microscopy. However, conventional electron microscopy requires high vacuum conditions. This projects aims at developing a reaction cell compatible with electron microscopes at DTU Cen enabling studies of catalysts in a working environment
