Models for control of heating in buildings

We are working on building control of the heating in a building. In particular we have a school building (3 storeys and appr. 20 rooms) where we can set the forward temperature to the building heating circuit, and later the temperature set point of each room. The setup is depicted below. We are collecting data of the variables shown, and we can carry out experiments, i.e. changing the set points. Further, we will collect weather forecasts for the location. We seek models for prediction of the indoor room temperatures as a function of the weather forecasts and the set points, and other relevant variables. The task is to develop these models using data and physical knowledge, and eventually design an MPC (Model Predictive Control), which can optimize the set points using the predictive models.
