The project goal is to develop a small consumer oriented device based on capturing and processing brainwaves to be used by people with and without disabilities to enable them to recognize their emotional response to visual art or music.
1. Demonstrate the feasibility of the technical concept by developing a working prototype.
2. Collect preliminary data to allow the IP description.
3. Explore if the technology can be coupled with VR to allow access to art and music beyond high-density urban areas and beyond museums and live concerts.
1. One/Two MSc/Bsc students at DTU developing the prototype device.
2. Two professionally accomplished artists advising and giving access to technical aspects of art and music for consideration in the prototype development measuring the emotional response.
1. Prototype development
It is estimated that two M.Sc students working in parallel for approx. 6 months at the DTU will be able to demonstrate the technology.
2. Market development
To produce and market the devices, a small company will be developed to estimate the market potential and to gain funding for production and certification of the product followed by product promotion and sales.
