Mathematical modelling of microbial microcosms

In this project, you will use a framework of mathematical models to investigate the mechanisms and progression of model microbial systems. We are interested in the fundamentals of how microbes interact and outcompete one another, especially in the context of the production of secondary metabolites.

The project will be associated with the CeMist Center of Excellence.

Requirements

A high level of mathematical modelling as well as some familiarity with bacterial lab work is required.
