Forest heights and earth observation data

This project aims at laying the groundwork for determining forest heights on a global scale. Through a combination of spaceborne LiDAR data and optical and radar satellite imagery a high resolution forest height map will be established and validated.

The dataset will be of use for environmental studies and for modelling water surface roughness for energy assessment studies, amongst other things.
