Project

Valuation of the System Advantages of Lower District Heating Temperatures

Publisher

Supervisor

Location

Greater Copenhagen area

District heating must develop in order to be competitive in relation to other heating types and in order to better and more efficiently integrate the different types of renewable energy technologies and surplus heat.
These are among the reasons why there has been increasing focus on lower temperatures in district heating systems in recent years, in the form of low temperature district heating (LTDH) and ultra-low temperature district heating (ULTDH).

With this project, Sweco wishes to examine how to create incentives for consumers to select ULTDH instead of DH or LTDH.
