Background

According to the environmental profile, Danisense has a goal to keep waste and environmental footprint at a minimum. Four key areas are identified and are being measured constantly.

·         All production materials needs to be recyclable

·         If a damaged transducer is returned, Danisense ensures that minimum 95% of the transducer is recycled.

·         Only use non toxic materials

·         All packaging material is manufactured from recycled materials.

We strive to become a market leader in both measurement accuracy and environmental footprint.

 

Objective

Ideally, you start by investigating the newest trends within the Circular economy movement, finding about any present and future regulation in this area as well as brainstorm together with our organization on how we can turn our green environmental profile into competitive advantage in the business area of high-performance current transducer. You are going to “take the pulse” and check the “state of health” of our current practices within the areas of Product development, Production and Purchasing.

You are going to analyze the product life for one or few products from their birth in the minds of our product developers, through the design phase, prototyping, active life, return for service/calibration and putting back in service, to taking it out of operation and the end of life. Aim is to assess the total environmental footprint, not only for the product and its components but also the way we source components and transport them around the world, different service actions and finally the effort to dismantle, separate the constitutive parts and recycle the bulk of the product without waste.

Requirements

University students in their final semester, having interest in circular economy, suppy chain, environmental footprint of modern industrial production etc.
