CARBON FOOTPRINT ANALYSIS OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

The objective of the project is to assess the carbon footprint of a conventional wastewater treatment plant, using the life cycle assessment (LCA) approach. The project will focus on the impact of diffusive greenhouse gas emissions and their contribution to the overall global warming impact. The project will include collection of LCA inventory data and LCA modelling using the EASETECH model. The student(s) will participate in emission measuring campaigns. The project is carried out in collaboration with a Danish wastewater treatment plant.
